What a fabulous first Mother's Day with Rose. It was a great way to start her birthday week. We enjoyed visits with Great Grandma W and Great Grandma T. She also got to see both Grandmas today! What fun we had. The weather dried out and we got some time outside on the swing, slide and in the stroller.

Yesterday was Rose's first ladies luncheon. We enjoyed my dear friend Amanda's wedding shower. She really enjoyed doing laps around the room, pulling on curtains, looking out a glass door, and pointing up to the lights. We were both exhausted after all of that stimulation. Luckily, she was able to instantly pass out in her carseat when we hit the road.

Her walking is completely independent now. She has even picked up the pace to a little jog sometimes. She doesn't want to sit much, always on the go. A few new words are developing. She now uses "out", when she is done eating in her high chair or ready to finish on the swing. She'll also pull at your legs and say "up" when she wants to cuddle. She has learned her way around a couple little steps at Grandma T's and Great Grandma W's and declares "step" when she approaches. Her fascination with lights continue. She is saying "dog" around Layla and when she hears or see other dogs when we are out on walks. "Flower" is another favorite, "door" when opening and closing them, and "side" for outside.

She is a busy girl and keeps us moving. We call her the energizer bunny, as she always says "go, go, go"!
